Stripping the paint
Repainting the plane is pretty low on our priority list, so John is doing it in pieces, as he has time. Below, you can see him stripping the tail section in preparation for putting numbers on. Note the original Chinese red star coming out underneat the paint.

Original Radio Equipment
There was several hundred pounds of old tube and transistor radio equipment still in the plane when we got it. In the upper right corner you can see the ADF which we have since removed.

What we do at airshows....
Airshows are really cool because we get to meed a lot of neat people with really interesting planes that make a great backdrop to our pictures! Our aim at airshows, though, is to make the general public aware that these planes exist and pass on as much knowledge about them as we have. To that end, we spend a lot of time sitting around talking or just waiting. Good thing we have a tall wing for those hot summer days!

Baggage Compartment
This was Kelly's one big complaint about the CJ: it was a royal pain trying to get luggage stowed. So John built a nice little baggage compartment for her!!
